Mongolia's COVID-19 cases rise by 18 to 261


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, the overall figure of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia jumped by 18 to 261 over the last 24-hour period, the country's National Center for Communicable disease (NCCD) announced.

At a regular news briefing, Dulmaa Nyamkhuu, head of the NCCD revealed that the country conducted a number of 408 tests for suspected COVID-19 cases, with all the results returned negative.

The official added that the combined figure of patients who have so far survived the merciless infection reached 207, as three more patients were discharged from hospital after showing improvement in the previous day.

The East Asian nation witnessed the confirmation of zero deaths related to the COVID-19; it also reported no local transmissions since all the cases were imported from the overseas.
