French archaeologists carry out confidential diggings in Syria
(MENAFN) According to local sources, French archeologists have been carrying out confidential diggings in Syria's Deir Ez-Zor province, which is ruled by the YPG/PKK terrorist group.
Talking to Anadolu Agency, the sources stated that the diggings were happening in the ancient archeology location of Dur-Katlimmu, as known as Tell Sheikh Hamad.
The sources said that at least 10 French archaeologists and specialists are now engaged in digging activities, which started from the start of the year.
The work is usually hidden and is being carried out under the support of YPG/PKK terrorists at night.
