Indonesia confirms 1,522 additional coronavirus infections

An official with the Indonesian health ministry, Achmad Yurianto, said during a press conference on Wednesday that the number of coronavirus cases in the country rose 1,522 to end at 80,094.
The official said that 1,414 more patients have recovered from the disease and were discharged from hospitals, which has increased the total number of recoveries to 39,050.
Seven provinces, which are namely North Sumatra, South Kalimantan, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and South Sulawesi posted an increasing number of cases, according to the official.
No new coronavirus cases were reported in 6 provinces out of the total in the country, which are Riau, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara and West Papua.
