Libya adds 79 more coronavirus cases

The National Center for Disease Control of Libya said on Monday that 79 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the country, increasing the total number of COVID-19 infections across the country to 1,512.

A statement by the center released on Monday said that it acquired a total of 1,232 suspected samples, as 79 came back positive.

A total of 367 patients have recovered from the disease out of the total number of infections, as the number of deaths reached 40.

Authorities in the country have shut down the borders of the country in order to curb the spread of the virus, they have also closed schools and mosques and stopped public gatherings along with enforcing a curfew.
