Kuwait holds meeting to go into women's empowerment

(MENAFN) Kuwait held on Monday a virtual meeting to talk about the empowerment of women in politics.
The meeting, entitled "Prospects for Political participation of women in Kuwait," is co-arranged by the European Union (EU) and Qatar and will last until July 15.
EU supports the political contribution of women around the world, said EU Ambassador to Kuwait and Qatar Cristian Tudor in a press report.
He noted, "Kuwait was one of the first countries in the region to grant women their full political rights. I hope Kuwait will continue its efforts to encourage women's political participation and support policies that support gender equality".
