Kyrgyzstan adds 719 more positive COVID-19 cases


(MENAFN) During the last 24-hour period as of Sunday, a number of 719 more patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, lifting the national tally of the confirmed cases to 10,629.

Local media reports quoted the country's Deputy health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev as announcing at a daily press release that the recent infections included 127 medical workers, taking the total number of infections among healthcare personnel to 1,656, including 552 recoveries, whereas the national death toll jumped by seven to 132.

According to the minister, as of Tuesday morning, the combined record of patients who have won the battle against the brutal COVID-19 infection increased by 151 to 3,387 .

The Republican Headquarters for the Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 said that the new cases were recorded after 2,479 laboratory tests were conducted across the country during the past 24 hours.
