345 new positive COVID-19 cases reported in Kyrgyzstan
(MENAFN) During the last 24-hour period as of Wednesday, a number of 345 more patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, lifting the national tally of the confirmed cases to 8,486.
Local media reports quoted the country's Deputy health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev as announcing at a daily press release that the recent infections included 62 medical workers, taking the total number of infections among healthcare personnel to 1,287, including 522 recoveries.
According to the minister, as of Tuesday morning, the combined record of patients who have won the battle against the brutal COVID-19 infection increased by 67 to 2,983.
Currently, a total of 592 patients infected with the disease are being treated in hospitals throughout the country including 17 in the ICU, the official revealed.
