(MENAFN) According to a statement issued on Saturday by the National Health Commission, the overall figure of patients who have transmitted the novel coronavirus infection in the mainland China increased to 83,545 as 3 more cases were confirmed over the last 24 hours, including one domestic transmissions and two imported.
The commission revealed that the recent local transmission was detected in Beijing.
Up to now, zero deaths had been confirmed among the total 1,925 imported cases.
The combined figure of patients who have survived their deadly infection and been accordingly discharged from hospitals amounted to 78,509, whereas 4,634 others had died of the disease, the commission said.
