Dengu fever claims one more life in Laos

The health ministry of Laos said on Saturday that 41 more patients have been diagnosed with dengue fever as one more person has died due to the disease.

The Center of Information and Education for Health under the Lao Ministry of Health said Saturday that a total of 6 patients have died due to dengu fever in the country as 2,190 were infected with the disease since December of 2019.

Two of the six deaths occurred in the capital of Laos Vientaine, two took place in Bolikhamxay and one each in Khammuan and Xayaboury provinces, the ministry said.

The highest number of dengue fever infected patients was seen in Lao capital Vientiane at 479, 304 cases in Vientiane province, while 229 others were reported in Attapeu province.
