The public health ministry of spokesman of Afghanistan, Sayedudin Jami, said on Thursday that 460 more coronavirus cases were reported in the country, increasing the total number of COVID-19 infections across Afghanistan to 30,175.
A statement released by the health ministry said that "Within the past 24 hours, 1,175 suspected cases were tested, out of which 460 cases were tested coronavirus positive in 15 of 34 Afghan provinces".
The official said that a total of 675 coronavirus deaths took place since the outbreak of the virus in the country in February, as 36 of them happened in the earlier 24 hours.
He then said that the total number of coronavirus recoveries in the country stands at 10,174 as of Monday as 315 more patients have recovered from the infection.
