The head of the Polish Development Fund (PFR) in Poland said on Wednesday that Google and Microsoft technology giants are going to be investing USD3 billion in total in the country in the following years.
The head of the PFR, Pawel Borys, wrote on twitter that the investments are going to transform the country into a digital hub for the central and eastern parts of Europe.
Google is going to construct a new data center in the country valued at USD2 billion and is set to start the construction in 2021, according to business newspaper Puls Biznesu on Tuesday.
It is as well going to train 10,000 staff members in the country while making a cloud team there, the cloud director of Google, Magdalena Dziewguc, said that the cloud is going to be made up of three regions, saying that "Each of those infrastructures will be independent, technically and in terms of software".
