Positive COVID-19 cases rise by 51 to 1,587 in Lebanon


(MENAFN) Based on reported issued by Lebanon's National News Agency, the overall tally of patients who have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Lebanon has risen to 1,587, as 51 more patients tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours ending on Monday, whereas the related death toll remained unchanged at 32.

The agency's figures showed that the newly-confirmed cases included 32 imported infections and 19 local transmissions.

Lebanese people are continuously being instructed by the local health officials to follow precautionary measures in order to stay safe and to reduce the opportunity of transmitting the COVID-19 infection.

The West Asian state has received several donations from different nations for the battle against COVID-19 since it has been hit by the pandemic on precautionary measures.
