Finance minister: Government pursues a policy built on justice in the tax burden

(MENAFN) The Minister of Finance, Mohammad Al-Ississ, declared that the government has adopted an elevated program to decrease tax evasion, ruling out the government's purpose to trek taxes.

Speaking during a press meeting held at the Prime Ministry on Sunday, he noted the government has commenced "extensive" operations to fight tax evasion, which concentrated on applicable training and expertise discussion over the past months.

He affirmed that Jordan has implemented a tax strategy to attain tax-driven fairness and advance opportunities for investment competition, which will preserve the rights of investors and improve Jordan's image as an attractive investment environment applying reasonable tax laws.

He said while discussing money laundering that tax evasion considers this phenomenon as a main criminal evasion crime, as it manipulates financial interpretations.
