Kyrgyzstan confirms 100 new COVID-19 cases

Health authorities of Kyrgyzstan said on Tuesday that 100 more coronavirus cases were reported in the country, increasing the total number of confirmed coronavirus patients in Kyrgyzstan stood at 2,472.

The deputy health minister of the country, Nurbolot Usenbaev, said that health authorities have conducted 2,278 coronavirus tests in the earlier 24 hours, with 100 of them coming back positive.
The official said that 14 out of the newly diagnosed patients are medical employees, which has increased the number of such cases in the country to 474.
The official added that the epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan is still tense and an aggravation is possible, there are 597 patients still in hospitals, as six of them are in intensive care units.
