Afghanistan's total positive COVID-19 cases rise to 25,527


(MENAFN)Based on a confirmation made by the Afghan Ministry of Public Health, the combined number of the positive COVID-19 infections has jumped to 25,527, including 761 reported in the past 24-hour period ending on Monday.

The ministerial statement revealed that "Within the past 24 hours, 1,551 tests were conducted, and 761 were positive COVID-19 cases."

In the meantime, the total figure of patients who have won the battle against the most infectious COVID-19 disease has risen to 5,090, whereas another 7 patients succumbed to the virus, lifting the national death toll to 478.

The ministry further included that a mass testing were conducted for a number of 57,532 suspected COVID-19 cases all over the South Asian nation by Monday.
