Total COVID-19 cases in Brunei at 141, no further cases detected

Health authorities of Brunei said that there were no new coronavirus cases reported in the country on Sunday, as the total number of COVID-19 cases across the country stood at 141.

Sunday marked the 38th day in a row that the country has not reported any coronavirus cases since the 7th of May, the health ministry of Brunei said, no more patients have recovered from the disease on Sunday, which has kept the total number of recoveries at 138.

Around 67 people remain in quarantine as 2,756 others have finished their quarantine period.

According to ministry officials, only one active coronavirus case remains in the country and the patient is currently being treated at the National Isolation Center, and he is still in a critical condition, the patient needs Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) along with respiratory assistance.
