Kyrgyzstan confirms 87 more positive coronavirus infections


(MENAFN) During the last 24-hour period as of Monday, a number of 87 more patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan, lifting the national tally of the confirmed cases to 2,372.

Local media reports quoted the country's Deputy health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev as announcing at a daily press release that the recent infections included 22 medical workers, taking the total number of infections among healthcare personnel to 460, with 354 recoveries.

According to the minister, as of Monday morning, the combined record of patients who have won the battle against the brutal COVID-19 infection amounted to 1,813.


Currently, a total of 531 patients infected with the disease are being treated in hospitals throughout the country including four in the ICU, the official revealed.
