Total COVID-19 cases in Mongolia remain unaffected at 197


(MENAFN) On Sunday, the overall figure of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia remained unchanged at 197, after one more patient tested positive for the virus over the last 24-hour period, the country"s National Center for Communicable disease (NCCD) announced.

At a regular news briefing, Amarjargal Ambaselmaa, head of the surveillance department of the NCCD revealed that the combined toll of patients who have survived the deadly infection has jumps to 98 as 3 more recoveries were reported in the course of the previous 24-hour period.

The official added "We are now preparing to receive Mongolian nationals who will return home from COVID-19-hit countries on next chartered flights."

Up to now, zero more people have transmitted the coronavirus infection either locally or internationally, owing to the early introduction of social distancing and tight health protocols for cross-border flows.
