8 more coronavirus infections reported in Palestine

Palestine on Wednesday, June 10th announced the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has increased to 662, after eight new cases were confirmed in the West Bank since Tuesday night, June 9th.

Palestinian Minister of health Mai al-Kaila said in a press conference that the new case is for a woman from the city of Jericho, while the seven others were found in the southern Hebron district.

Al-Kaila was quoted as saying, "Out of the total cases, 320 cases are in East Jerusalem, while 272 in the West Bank and 70 in Gaza Strip."

She noted that 565 cases have recovered, demonstrating an over 85 percent recovery rate.

Over the last 24 hours, 270 Palestinians were admitted into government-run quarantine.
