Turkmenistan prepared for international discussions on COVID-19

Turkmenistan has confirmed its willingness for discussion for international collaboration to fight the novel coronavirus outbreak, that country's top diplomat said Friday, June 5th.

Speaking at an international conference in the capital of Ashgabat, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, stressed the application of Turkmenistan's preliminary plan for acute infectious virus and emergency measures.

He emphasized the central Asian country continues "constructive work" with the global community to fight the pandemic.

Meredov stated beginning June 1, Turkmenistan started the construction of a quarantine center beside its borderlines with Uzbekistan and it plans to similar centers on the frontiers with Iran and Kazakhstan.
