Libya reports total of 196 COVID-19 infections


(MENAFN) By Tuesday, the overall number of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Libya has risen to 196 after 14 more cases were confirmed compared to the previous 24 hours. the country's National Center for Disease Control confirmed, adding that the national record included 5 fatalities and 52 cured patients.

According to the center's information, the southern city of Sabha reported 11 of the newly-confirmed infections.

Libyan officials have adopted a variety of preventive steps to halt the spread of the COVID-19, including shutting the boundaries of the region, prohibiting large gatherings and declaring a moratorium.
