
Qatar- QC to launch online training programs for private sector and individuals
Qatar Chamber (QC) announced yesterday that it would launch a series of online training programs for a variety of areas such as qualifying teachers on distance learning, business management and software courses, as well as various specialised courses and others.
In this regard, QC General Manager Saleh in Hamad Al Sharqi said that due to the precautionary procedures to curb the spread of COVID-19, the chamber would continue holding training courses for individuals and members of the private sector through the video conference technology.
He also noted that the Chamber would continue to offer online programs even after the coronavirus pandemic ends, pointing out that it has developed an integrated infrastructure for hosting this kind of programs.
The Chamber's programs also include a free of charge online program entitled 'Qatar Chamber's Program for Raising Awareness on Social Responsibility under the theme 'Toward Globally Responsible Practices for our National Institutions and Companies from 4 to 5:30pm from June 8 to 10 through Zoom app.
The programs will be held in cooperation with the Regional Consultancy Network. The program includes four training courses. The first training session will be held on June 8 and deals with social responsibility reports for institutions, while the second training meeting will be held on June 9 and discusses the standards of social responsibility (IS26000).
The third training meeting will be held on June 9 on the UN Global Compact Programme on social responsibility, while the fourth meeting will be held on June 10 and reviews the social return on investment.
Al Sharqi also said that the program comes as part of the Chamber's strategy to disseminate the social responsibility among companies as a key pillar of the business community. He affirmed that the Chamber made serious efforts to encourage and support social responsibility initiatives and that are positively reflected at the social and humanitarian levels within the Qatari society.
Qatar Chamber invites its members and interested people to participate in these training courses, which are held free of charge and offered by professional experts. All participants will receive an electronic attendance certificate from Qatar Chamber on condition of attending the four training sessions.
The Chamber noted that registration for attending courses is open for companies, institutions, and individuals from inside Qatar only. Registration is valid through a link on the Qatar Chamber's website or by email.
