
UAE to witness solar eclipse, will be visible from 93% of the areas
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The UAE is expected to witness solar eclipse on June 21, according to an official.
Ibrahim AlJarwan, member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences,was quoted byEmarat AlYoumdaily,sayingthat the eclipse will start at 8.12amand will end at 11.12am.Theeclipse will reach itspeak at 9.35amintheUAE, he said, addingthat the eclipse will be visiblefrom93per centof theareas.
AlJarwanexplained that the eclipse will start in Sudan,followed byEthiopia,Yemen, Oman,Pakistan,India, then China andSouth EastAsiancountries.
