
Sri Lanka- Curfew to be strictly enforced on Sunday
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) The Police said that the curfew will be strictly enforced on Sunday around the country.
Senior Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Ajith Rohana said that no one will be able to step out during the curfew on Sunday 17 May.
He said that a special operation will be conducted around the island on Sunday to arrest anyone violating the strict curfew.
Ajith Rohana also said that since the curfew in Colombo and Gampaha is still in force, special operations will continue in these areas as well next week.
He requested the public to adhere to the quarantine laws in order to ensure the coronavirus does not spread.
Ajith Rohana said that the Police and Public Health Officers will continue to conduct sudden checks on certain locations.
He said that anyone refusing to extend support to these officers could face legal action. (Colombo Gazette)
