Coronavirus cases in Syria rise to 48
(MENAFN) On Wednesday, the Syrian health ministry affirmed in a statement the existence of new coronavirus case, increasing the overall number of people tested positive for the virus in the country to 48.
According to the ministry statement, as many as 29 cases were completely recovered from the disease so far, while the death toll reached three.
Earlier this month, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad warned of a "real catastrophe" in case of an upsurge in the number of COVID-19 cases in Syria.
