Mall of Qatar distributes iftar meals to labourers across Qatar
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) In line with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme and community outreach during the holy month of Ramadan, Mall of Qatar (MoQ), in collaboration with Wa'hab, has been spearheading an initiative aimed at providing iftar meals to labourers across Qatar, enabling them to overcome the current challenges.
Hundreds of sumptous Iftar meals were prepared, packed and delivered to the labourers.
'Ramadan is the month of giving, we pride ourselves contributing in the effort to provide appropriate support to those that are in need and make a difference in their lives. It is a small gesture that reflects the values of solidarity and demonstrates our commitment to the wider wellbeing of the community, MoQ CEO Khaled Sam Hosn said in a statement.
The Iftar meals were packed with the highest standards of safety, wrapped in biodegradable packs, in a step that reflects the MoQ's responsibility to protect the environment and reduce plastic waste.
CSR programme is at the core of MoQ's business model. The nation's mall is a stakeholder of achieving sustainable development that has a positive impact on social, economic and environmental factors.
Wa'hab, an award-winning SME, works to reduce food wastage and provide support to the communities in Qatar. By connecting surplus food to those in need, Wa'hab aims to promote social solidarity and protect the environment.
