16 new coronavirus cases registered in Palestine


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Palestinian health officials affirmed the existence of five new coronavirus cases in West Bank, increasing the overall number of people tested positive for the virus in Palestine to 543.

On Tuesday, the Palestinian Health Ministry affirmed in a brief press statement that all the newly registered cases are all from the same village of al-Samou' in Hebron, south of the West Bank.

At least 16 people were tested positive for the virus in the village over the past day, forcing the authorities to impose a lockdown in the village.

It is worth mentioning that Hebron has been under movement restrictions for more than 30 days.
