Iran adds 1,323 more COVID-19 cases


(MENAFN) Based on Iran's state TV reports, the combined toll of lives that have been claimed due to the pandemic of the most infectious coronavirus disease in Iran has jumped to 6,340, as 63 more fatalities were reported overnight as of Tuesday, the country's Ministry of Health announced.

Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education declared that in the past 24 hours, the country added 1,323 more COVID-19 cases, lifting the total figure of patients who have so far tested positive for the virus to 99,970.

According to him, the number of recovered patients now stands at 80,475, while 2,685 are still in critical condition.

Jahanpur further noted that a total of 519,543 suspected COVID-19 cases have tested for the virus since the virus first hit the nation.
