Sri Lanka- AG approves steps enforced by Police
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Attorney General (AG) Dappula de Livera has approved the measures taken by the Police to curb the spread of the coronavirus in Sri Lanka.
In response to a letter sent by Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickramaratne, the Attorney General said that in taking steps to contain the spread of the coronovirus, the powers, duties and functions vested in Police officers under the Police Ordinance, Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code should also be adhered to.
