Iran's aluminum production expected to be doubled
(MENAFN) Iran's aluminum production is likely to increase after the inauguration of Iran's biggest aluminum production complex in the central Fars province, according to Iran's industry, mining, and trade minister.
As said by Reza Rahmani, "with this unit going operational, the county"s aluminum production will rise 100 percent."
He put the worth of the Iranian mining industry's production at around USD22 billion and said, Iran is relatively self-sufficient in minerals and a great deal is also exported every year.
He added that, Iran is ranked 18th between the world's top aluminum producers, and with this new plant going operational Iran will climb four places to reach 14th place.
