Sudan confirms total of 162 COVID-19 cases
(MENAFN) The Sudanese Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that the death toll form the novel coronavirus across the country has risen to 13, as the combined figure of patients who have so far tested positive for the virus has jumped to 162 across the nation.
Over the past 24 hours, a number of 22 more cases were confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19 in the capital city of Khartoum, according to a statement issued by the country's Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, at least 14 patients who contracted the virus have recovered.
The week before, the North African nation had placed a full lockdown in Khartoum for 3 weeks, with a limited curfew in the rest of the states.
The disease triggered by coronavirus, COVID-19, which emerged in Wuhan, China last December, has expanded to at least 185 nations and regions all over the world, with Europe and the United States the hardest affected areas.
