Syria: COVID-19 cases increases to 33


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, April 15 (KUNA) -- The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Syria increased to 33 with four more cases reported Wednesday.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that five cases of recovery were announced by the authorities, while two deaths occurred as a result of the virus infection.
Syria announced its first case of the coronavirus on March 22.
The government took a decision suspending schools and universities, preventing the use of public transportation, imposing a partial curfew, as well as closing the borders with Lebanon. (end)
