One more fatality from coronavirus in Iraq
(MENAFN) 1 more fatality from the coronavirus and 47 new infections were registered in Iraq, taking the total number in Iraq to 1,279, according to the Iraqi health ministry.
As said in a statement by the ministry, around the 47 recorded infections during the past day, 11 are in the capital Baghdad, 10 in Wasit, 9 in Erbil, 5 in Basra, 4 in Sulaimaniyah, 3 in each of Karbala and Najaf, and 1 in Salahudin and Muthanna each.
Until now 70 have lost their lives from the COVID-19 in Iraq and 550 cured.
The number of coronavirus cases between Iraqis living outside Iraq has stood at 229, of whom 22 have died and 50 cured, as Ahmed al-Sahaf, spokesman of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said.
