Eastern Libya reports its first coronavirus case

The Higher Committee to Combat the Corona Epidemic of the eastern-based government of Libya announced on Tuesday the first coronavirus case in eastern Libya.

The Committee said during press conference in Benghazi city that a man, 55 years old, who came back from Turkey to Libya 20 days ago was diagnosed with coronavirus.

The Tripoli-based National Center for Disease Control of the government said on Monday that the total number of coronavirus infections in Libya is at 19, including a recovery and a death.

The first coronavirus death has occured in Libya on Thursday, the deceased is a 85 years old woman who was confirmed with the disease.
