(MENAFN) The overall tally of the COVID-19 recovered patients has jumped to 92 in Senegal, as 10 more patients have shown improvement and considered cured on Monday, according to the declaration of the country's Ministry of Health and Social Action.
In addition to the ten patients confirmed healthy, Senegalese health minister Aboudulaye Diouf Sarr reported that just four of the 95 samples had registered positive, including three near contacts with previously identified cases and one community transmission case, taking the country's overall number of confirmed cases to 226.
As of March 13, Senegal has on Monday reported zero COVID-19 cases that came from the overseas virus-hit nations for the second day in a row, with the overall figure of the imported cases remained as it was on Saturday at 85.
On Saturday, Senegal marked its 60th anniversary of liberation from France. The Presidential Palace arranged a military ceremonial instead of a conventional military and civil parade due to the terrible circumstance of COVID-19 in the nation.
