Iraq: 4 more deaths from COVID-19, 65 new cases


(MENAFN) 4 more fatalities from coronavirus and 65 new cases were registered in Iraq, increasing the total number of the infections to 694, as said by the Iraqi Health Ministry.


According to a statement by the ministry, the new cases are 12 in the capital Baghdad, 22 in Najaf, 11 in each Sulaimaniyah and Karbala, 4 in Basra, 2 in Diyala and 1 in Erbil, Kirkuk and Dhi Qar each.


The statement added that, 694 cases have been recorded, 50 of whom have died and 170 others were healed.


The Iraqi government decided to extend the nationwide curfew until April 11 to control the spread of COVID-19.
