KUWAIT, March 30 (KUNA) -- Chinese Ambassador in Kuwait Ambassador Li Minggang said on Monday that Kuwait is able to conquer the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the near future.
Speaking to KUNA, Li appreciated Kuwait's backing to, and cooperation with, his country since the outbreak of the virus in China's central city of Wuhan, adding that Kuwait had provided China with USD three million's worth of medical supplies.
He noted that his country had shared its expertise with Kuwait in order to help it contain the epidemics by sending it diagnosis and treatment devices.
The Chinese ambassador added that Chinese companies, which have building and equipping capabilities, were exerting efforts to back Kuwait's fight against the COVID-19.
Li pointed out China's willingness to aid Kuwait if the latter wants to build field hospitals, echoing confidence that Kuwait would defeat the virus at an early. (end) ak.tb.mt
