India confirms total of 918 coronavirus cases

(MENAFN) According to the announcement of India's federal health ministry, the total number of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the country has jumped to 918 as of Saturday.
At a press updating released at 5:45 p.m. local time, the ministry officials stated "The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across India is 918."
As many as 80 patients have walked out of the hospitals after recovery, whereas the death toll from the COVID-19 has hit 19 throughout the country, the ministry included.
It further noted "The number of active cases in the country right now is 819."
The highest share of confirmed cases in India was reported from Maharashtra state, with Kerala ranking in second place.
