GDP expansion in Vietnam in Q1 at low record

The General Statistics Office of Vietnam said on Friday that the GDP in the country has only expanded 3.82 percent in the starting quarter of the curret year, the lowest rise since 2011.

The forestry, fishery and agriculture sector of the country posted a rise of 0.08 percent in the quarter in comparison with the same quarter a year ago, the construction and industry saw rises of 3.27 percent and 5.15 percent respectively.

The office said that the country has made a GDP expansion target of 6.8 percent for the current year, the yearly GDP expansion of Vietnam has reached 7.02 percent in the earlier year, over the 6.6-6.8 yearly target.
