10 insurgents killed in Afghanistan clashes

Authorities of Afghanistan announced on Thursday that clashes that took place in two provinces of Afghanistan have resulted in the death of five police officials and 10 Taliban insurgents on Wednesday night.

Chairman of the provincial council of Kunduz province of Afghanistan, Mohammad Yousuf Ayoubi, said that an attack that was launched by Talbian militants on a security checkpoint in the province has resulted in the death of five police officials and left three injured and six missing.

The official said that multiple insurgents have also died and some were left injured in the clash that took place for hours in the province.

Army's Zafar 207 Corps released a statement saying that Talbian terrorists launched attacks on multiple security forces position in Ghor pro od the country, the security forces have retaliated and successfully 10 militants and left others wounded.

The statement said that "Among the killed militants was Qari Raouf, Taliban shadow district chief for Ghor's Lal Wa Sarjangal district".
