Kuwait- Volunteers contribute to KRCS campaign against Covid-19

KUWAIT, March 19 (KUNA) -- Since the emergence of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), volunteers have come forward and joined the awareness and aid campaigns of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS).
Forty volunteers offered selfless contributions to the effort to provide the affected communities with sanitizers, masks and food aid, Director of KRCS Public Relations Dept. Khaled Al-Zaid told KUNA on Thursday.
They distributed more than 1,270 meals to low-income workers and guards in Amghara area at their residences as part of the initiative "for sake of Kuwait stay at home," he noted.
The campaign targets distribution of 30,000 meals, in addition to means of prevention, within one month, he added, welcoming the contributions and donations from the private sector and individuals to KRCS's aid campaign. (end)
