Jordan- Jerusalem Patriarchate donates JD50,000 to Health Ministry

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, March 18 (Petra) --The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem announced a donation of JD50,000 to the Ministry of health to assist in national efforts to control the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in Jordan, Christoforos Attallah, said this donation came "with the blessing of His Beatitude, Patriarch Theophilus III, the Patriarch of the Holy City".
"We stand with our Hashemite leadership and all officials in confronting the virus and providing everything possible to limit the spread of this global pandemic," Archbishop Christoforos added.
"We are putting buildings of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate schools in Jordan at the disposal of the Kingdom if needed," calling on all believers to abide by the state's instructions to eliminate this pandemic.
