(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, March 14 (KUNA) -- Iraqi health officials confirmed on Saturday five new coronavirus cases, bring the total number to 110 in the country.
A statement by the ministry said that lab tests has been conducted to 100 people, and five of them returned positive, three in Baghdad, one in Thi Qar, and one in Karbala.
The statement noted that nine people died, and 26 people has fully recovered.
Recently, Iraq adopted a series of measures to confront the spread of the virus, including a travel ban to countries with high number of cases, suspension of schools and universities as well as limination of transport. (end)
