Palestine confirms 20 coronavirus cases

Palestine has announced on Monday that the number of coronavirus infections in the country has increased to 20 cases.

Ibrahim Milhem, government spokesperson, said that "After a new case was confirmed in the city of Bethlehem today, the number of Palestinians infected with the novel coronavirus disease has reached 20".

The official said that 137 people who are suspected to have the disease are currently being tested, and that the number of infections might rise.

About 2,000 Palestinian citizens are in quarantine for now in Bethlehem and Jericho West Bank cities.

The country has issued a state of emergency on Thursday after coronavirus outbreak in the country was discovered in a hotel in Bethleham.
