1.9 percent rise in Greece economy

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) of Greece said on Friday that the economy of Greece has expanded 1.9 percent in 2019, a little less than the government 2 percent prediction.

Provisional figures showed that the GDP of Greece stood at USD220 billion in the earlier year in comparison with USD215.41 billion in 2018.

ELSTAT said that the GDP of Greece expanded a yearly 1 percent in the fourth 2019 quarter, and it dropped 0.7 percent compared to the earlier 2019 quarter.

Goods and service exports added 4.8 percent in the year in comparison with 2018 to set at a total of USD76.85 billion, the imports increased a yearly 2.5 percent to reach USD69.13 billion and the consumption increased 1.1 percent since 2018.
