Oman: Sultan Haitham asks government to finance "job safety" fund
(MENAFN) According to a report by Oman News Agency, the government was asked on Tuesday to take actions to set up a "job safety" fund by Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq.
Sultan Haitham also told the government to finance the fund with USD26 million at a beginning for the establishment and according to the royal orders, a finance system for the fund will be improved through involvement of private sector employers and workers.
On Tuesday, Sultan Haitham presided over the first cabinet gathering since he took office, as he told the government to start working on the future vision "Oman 2040."
November 18 will keep on being a national day the Sultanate celebrates yearly and this year will see the 50th anniversary of the Sultanate, as said by Sultan Haitham.
