Coronavirus: Ultra Abu Dhabi 2020 cancelled, K-Pop concert to go ahead

In a statement to the media, festival organisers said, "The decision has been taken due to the travel restrictions imposed by some countries and airlines for individuals and airlines for individuals and groups." ( Coronavirus outbreak: All the latest updates)
Though the event management had earlier said it would go ahead with the event has scheduled, amid Coronavirus scares, a fresh statement was issued late Tuesday night. The internationally acclaimed music festival was to be the highlight of Abu Dhabi Music Week, a ten-day festival of music and dance that will light up the UAE capital from March 1 to 14, 2020.
New dates for the event will be shared in the future and tickets for the event will be refunded as well. The decision has been taken to ensure the health and safety of the public, added organisers.
K-Pop concert to go ahead
A mega K-Pop event due to be organised on March 20 and 21 at the Coca-Cola area is expected to go ahead as planned. A spokesperson from the venue told Khaleej Times, "We have not been advised of this event cancelling." Other events scheduled at the arena include a performance by American rapper Russ on March 27 and the legacy and beast tour from Iron Maiden on May 27.
