Kuwait- Arab football event commences in Saudi Arabia
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Drawing national football teams from 16 Arab countries, including Kuwait, the 2020 Arab Cup U-20 kick-started in Saudi Arabia on Monday.
Co-organized by the Arab Football Federation and the Saudi General Sports Authority, the championship will take place in the cities of Dammam, Khobar and Riyadh between 17 February and 5 March.
The pan-Arab event embraces four groups: pitching Kuwait, Iraq, Tunisia and Mauritania in Group A, Morocco, Bahrain, Djibouti and Madagascar in Group B, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Algeria and Egypt in Group C, and finally Sudan, Libya, UAE and Senegal in Group D.
A medical and technical workshop, along with media courses, will be organized on the sidelines of the sixth version of the championship in Riyadh and Dammam.
The sports event was last held in Jordan in 2012. (end)
