Erzurum in eastern Turkey hosts over 1.3 million tourists last year
(MENAFN) According to provincial authorities, over 1.3 million tourists visited Erzurum, a winter wonderland in eastern Turkey last year as the province made its million-tourist goal set last year with its historical locations, hot springs and ski resorts.
Palandoken presents paragliding, night skiing with its state-of-the-art lighting system, ski jumping ramps and shooting ranges for biathlon and its ski resort on the slopes of Mount Palandoken is an amazing wintry hinterland.
In addition to that, the known ski resort is only 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) away from the city center.
"Erzurum has now become famous for its tourist attractions all year around", as said by Cemal Almaz, head of the provincial culture and tourism authority, adding that, "our new annual target is hosting 1.5 million tourists"
