
Afghanistan- 2 Afghan generals suspended over graft charges
(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL wok): Two generals of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) have been suspended and referred to the Attorney General Office (AGO) over corruption, a source said on Sunday.
A MoD official, who wished to go unnamed, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the individuals included Afghan National Army (ANA) requirement general commander Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Ahmadzai and 203th Thunder =Military Corps 4th brigade commander Brig. Gen. Abdul Matin Hussiankhel.
The two generals had been recognized and accused of corruption by the CID and introduced to the AGO for further investigation, the official said.
